Amelia and Joseph

On December 10 I had the priviledge of photographing the third wedding for the Gerber family!  It was a priviledge to be a part of this wedding and all the other weddings I have photographed for the Gerbers.  It was just really nice to actually know people at the wedding and be able to catch up with everyone on what has been happening in thier lives. 

Her sister Amanda was married during a lunar eclipse….and while we couldn’t see the eclipse here in Iowa, there was also an eclipse on December 10.    so cool! 

Amelia and Joseph were married at 1st United Methodist Church in Marion, and the reception was at Touch of Class.

Thank you to Amelia and Joe for choosing Visions Photography to photograph your wedding!  We had a blast!

Image Selected into A Smith Gallery – Winter Show

The image below of my beloved Chief was accepted into the A Smith Gallery’s Winter Competition juried by Jean Caslin.    Of the 476 submitted images, 52 were selected for the show.  

Exhibition dates will be from 1/6/2012 to 2/12/2012 with a reception to be held on 1/28/2012 from 4 to 7 pm.  The A Smith Gallery is located in Johnson City, Texas.

My still life image of a fork below was selected by jurors Jill and Dan Burkholder as an honorable mention at the A Smith Gallery Show – “Alterations”.  

Given the quality of the accepted images in this show,  I’m “doing a happy dance!”  Seriously though, I feel very honored to have one of  my image selected to be among the top 7 in the show!     LoL,  I was happy having two images accepted into the show, let alone one of them getting and honorable mention!!!!

Three Images Selected for the Chait Galleries Downtown – “Small Works Show”

BTW this is the 3rd open call “Small Works Show” that I have been accepted into at Chait!    It’s the 9th gallery show in which I have had fine art images accepted.

Two Images Selected for A Smith Gallery – “Alterations Show”

The images below were accepted into the “Alterations” Show at A. Smith Gallery in Johnson City, Texas.   Juried byJill and Dan Burkholder.  Exhibition dates: November 11 to December 18, 2011.  Opening reception: November 26 from 4 to 7 PM.  You can see all the accepted images here:  Accepted Images  Of the 318 submitted images, 48 were selected for the show.  I feel very honored to be a part of  the this show by just being in the company of the great images selected!
